How do I discover my purpose and God's will for my life?
By Matthew (Tolu) Olowoyeye
ScriptureProverbs 3:6
Start with the purpose God has already revealed for every believer — and it is enormous. You were made to know God, to become like Christ, to love people, and to make Him known. Master that, and you are already living on purpose, whatever your job title. Within that, God shapes a specific calling from the raw materials of your life: your gifts, your passions, your experiences (including the painful ones), and the needs you notice that others walk past. Where your deep gladness meets a real need, look closely — calling often lives there. Purpose is usually discovered walking, not sitting. You will not think your way to certainty; you will discover it by faithfully serving where you are, and watching what God blesses and confirms. Take the next faithful step and trust Him to direct your path. Scripture: — “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Take this step: Name your top two or three gifts and the needs that stir your heart. Then start serving in one of those areas this month — calling is confirmed in motion.
Prayer
Father, thank You for meeting me in my questions. Give me wisdom to understand Your truth, faith to trust You where I cannot yet see, and grace to walk it out today. Anchor my heart in Proverbs 3:6. In Jesus' name, amen.
