Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

This single verse is a whole cluster of promises bound together, and it begins where God so often begins with His frightened people: Fear not. But notice He never tells us not to fear without giving us a reason, and the reason is always Himself. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God." The antidote to fear is not positive thinking or denial of the danger; it is the presence of God. We are not told the threat is unreal, but that we do not face it alone.
Then come three promises, rising like steps: "I will strengthen you", God supplies inner strength for what we cannot bear; "I will help you", God acts on our behalf in the situation; "I will uphold you with My righteous right hand", God holds us up so we do not fall. Strengthened within, helped without, upheld throughout. This is what God pledges to the fearful: not the removal of every threat, but His own presence, strength, help, and sustaining grip in the midst of it.
When fear rises today, do not merely try to feel braver. Lay hold of the promise: He is with you, and He will strengthen, help, and uphold you.
Take Into The Day
When fear grips you today, don't just try to talk yourself out of it. Lay hold of God's threefold promise, to strengthen, help, and uphold you, and face the thing you fear in the strength of His presence, not your own.
Prayer
Lord, You say, "Fear not, for I am with you." When fear rises today, remind me I do not face it alone. Strengthen me within, help me in the situation, and uphold me with Your righteous right hand. I lean on Your presence, not my own courage. Amen.
