Joshua 23:14
…not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you, not one word of them has failed.

At the end of his life, Joshua gathered Israel and gave his testimony, not about his own achievements, but about God's reliability. Looking back over decades of God's dealings with the nation, he could say with total confidence: not one word of them has failed. Every promise God had made, and He had made many, had come to pass. Joshua's long life was a track record, and the verdict was unbroken: a perfect, unblemished record of kept promises.
This is the right place to begin a month on God's promises: with His proven faithfulness. We are not asked to trust a God who might or might not come through, whose word is hopeful but uncertain. We are asked to trust the God whose track record, across all of history and all of His people, is flawless. Not one promise has ever failed. Not one ever will. The same God who kept every word to Israel is the God who has made promises to you in Christ.
Before you stand on any single promise this month, settle this foundation: the God who made it has never once failed to keep His word. Trust the One with a perfect record.
Take Into The Day
Look back today over your own life and name one promise of God that has already proven true for you. Let His track record in your past strengthen your trust for whatever you are waiting on now. Not one word will fail.
Prayer
Lord, like Joshua, I can testify that not one of Your good words has failed. Your track record is perfect. When I am tempted to doubt a promise, remind me of all You have already kept. I trust the God who has never failed to keep His word. Amen.
