Luke 16:10
He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much…

Jesus reveals where faithfulness is really made: not in the big, visible moments but in the small, hidden ones. He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much. We tend to imagine that faithfulness is proved in great tests and grand commitments. But Jesus says the great is built on the least. The person who can be trusted with little, who does the small task well, keeps the minor promise, handles the unseen responsibility with care, is the person who can be trusted with much. And the reverse is just as true: faithfulness in big things is a myth if it is not first practised in small ones.
This is both searching and encouraging. Searching, because it exposes the gap between our grand intentions and our small neglects, the dream of doing something great for God while the daily, dull duties go half-done. Encouraging, because it means faithfulness is available to everyone, right now, in the ordinary. You do not need a great platform to grow faithful. You need only to do the next small thing well, today, when no one is watching.
Greatness in God's economy grows from faithfulness in the least. Tend the little things today.
Take Into The Day
Do the small, unseen things well today, the minor task, the kept promise, the quiet responsibility no one will notice. Treat the least as the training ground for the much, and be faithful where you are.
Prayer
Lord, You said faithfulness in the least leads to faithfulness in much. Forgive my grand intentions paired with small neglects. Help me to be faithful today in the little, hidden things, doing them well even when no one sees, as unto You. Amen.
