Peter reminds believers of a foundational truth: our God is holy, and because we belong to Him, we are called to reflect His holiness in our lives. This isn't a call to achieve moral perfection in our own strength, but an invitation to live consistently with the new identity we have in Christ. Holiness is about being set apart for God's purposes, striving to think, speak, and act in ways that honor Him. It’s an ongoing process of conforming to Christ’s character, empowered by the Spirit, as we seek to live out our sacred calling in the world.

Prayer

Gracious God, You are holy, and we long to reflect Your character. Help us, by Your Spirit, to live lives of increasing holiness in all our conduct as we follow Your Son. Amen.
