The psalmist calls us to give thanks, grounding our gratitude in two unshakeable truths: God's inherent goodness and His enduring, steadfast love. This 'steadfast love' (hesed in Hebrew) is a profound commitment, a loyal affection that never falters, even when we do. It's not contingent on our performance or worthiness, but flows from His unchanging character. In a world of shifting allegiances and fleeting affections, knowing that God's love for us ‘endures forever’ provides a secure anchor for our souls. It’s a promise of His faithfulness through every season of life.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your goodness and Your steadfast, unfailing love that endures through all generations. Help us to rest in this truth and to reflect Your loving kindness to others. Amen.
