1 Peter 2:4-5
As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Peter reminds us that our identity is fundamentally linked to Christ. He is the 'living stone,' the cornerstone, chosen by God despite human rejection. When we draw near to Him, we too become 'living stones', active, vital components of a spiritual dwelling place for God. This isn't about physical buildings, but about a community, a holy priesthood, empowered to offer 'spiritual sacrifices.' These sacrifices aren't animal offerings but lives lived in worship, service, and obedience, made acceptable through Jesus. Our value and purpose are derived from our connection to Him, being continuously built and shaped by His grace into something beautiful and sacred.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for incorporating us into Your spiritual house through Christ. Help us to live as 'living stones,' offering our lives as spiritual sacrifices pleasing to You.
