Paul reminds us that the Christian life is fundamentally a life of faith, not one dictated by what is immediately apparent to our senses. 'Sight' represents reliance on observable evidence, worldly wisdom, or personal experience. 'Faith,' conversely, is a trust in God and His unseen realities, His promises, His character, and His eternal kingdom. This doesn't mean faith is blind; it is grounded in the historical truth of Christ's resurrection and the authoritative word of God. To live by faith means stepping out in obedience even when the path isn't fully clear, trusting that God's perspective is higher and His direction is true. It reorients our focus from the transient to the eternal.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, strengthen my faith today. Help me to live by Your truth and promises, rather than by what my eyes can see, trusting in Your divine guidance in all things.
