Jesus offers a radical reordering of priorities. Instead of striving anxiously for material needs ('all these things'), He directs His followers to 'seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.' This isn't a passive waiting, but an active pursuit of God's reign in our lives and His moral character. The promise is profound: when we align our primary desires with God's purposes, He ensures that our necessary provisions will follow. This reassures us that God is deeply concerned with our holistic well-being, both spiritual and physical. It calls for trust, moving away from self-reliance towards reliance on a faithful, providing Father.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, forgive us for our anxieties and misplaced priorities. Help us to seek Your kingdom and righteousness above all else, trusting in Your faithful provision for every need. Amen.
