In a world brimming with information, true wisdom remains a precious commodity. Proverbs asserts that this wisdom doesn't spring from human ingenuity alone, but is a gift directly from the Lord. It flows from 'His mouth,' indicating that it is rooted in His revealed truth and character. Knowledge is accumulating facts, understanding is grasping how those facts relate, but wisdom is knowing how to apply them for good, in alignment with God's will. This verse encourages us to seek wisdom not primarily from human sources, but from God Himself, through His Word and prayer, trusting that He desires to impart it generously.

Prayer

Lord, You are the fount of all wisdom. Grant us discerning hearts and minds to seek Your knowledge and understanding above all other things today. Amen.
