Being 'in Christ' is not merely an affiliation; it's a radical transformation. Paul declares that for those united with Jesus through faith, something fundamentally new has occurred. The 'old' life, characterized by sin and separation from God, is past. The 'new' life is a fresh start, infused with God's Spirit and aligned with His purposes. This isn't a call to self-improvement but a declaration of a divine work already accomplished. We are not just patched up versions of our former selves, but genuinely 'new creations.' This truth offers profound hope and a fresh perspective on our identity and future.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the new life we have in Christ. Help us to shed the old ways and wholeheartedly embrace the new identity and purpose You have given us. Amen.
