Paul's command in Ephesians is both an identification and an imperative. We 'were darkness,' but now, 'in the Lord, you are light.' This isn't a suggestion for occasional good deeds; it's a call to embody a new reality. As children of light, our very nature has changed through Christ. Therefore, our lives, our thoughts, words, and actions, should reflect the illuminating, purifying, and truth-revealing character of God. Living as children of light means exposing what is hidden, dispelling ignorance, and walking in integrity and holiness in a world often shrouded in spiritual gloom. It is an active demonstration of Christ's presence and power in us.

Prayer

Holy God, thank You for calling us out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Grant us the grace and courage to live authentically as Your children, shining Your truth and goodness into every corner of our lives.
