April 6 reminds us of our identity and purpose as followers of Christ. Jesus doesn't say 'you should become the light' but unequivocally declares, 'You are the light of the world.' This identity is bestowed upon us by virtue of our connection to Him, who is the Light of the World. A town on a hill cannot be hidden, signifying that our lives, when lived authentically for Christ, are meant to be visible, radiating His truth and goodness. This isn't about drawing attention to ourselves, but about illuminating the path to Christ through our actions, words, and character. It's a call to allow His light within us to shine brightly into the surrounding darkness, offering hope and clarity.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You are the true Light. Help me to live out my identity as a light in this world today, reflecting Your truth and grace so that others may see You through me.
