The Apostle Paul urges us to allow the 'peace of Christ' to 'rule' in our hearts. This isn't just a suggestion for a calm demeanor but a directive for our deepest being. The word 'rule' here suggests that this peace should act as an umpire, making final decisions and settling disputes within us. When faced with choices or conflicting emotions, we are invited to let Christ's peace be the deciding factor, guiding us towards what aligns with His will and character. This peace is a gift given to us as members of His body, a peace we are called to embody and extend, always seasoned with thankfulness.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I pray that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, would be the umpire in my heart today. Guide my decisions and calm my spirit, calling me always to Your restful presence.
