Paul makes a stark contrast: 'at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.' This isn't merely a command to do good deeds; it's a declaration of a transformed identity. Because of Christ, we are not just people who possess light, but are, intrinsically, 'light in the Lord.' Therefore, our calling is to 'walk as children of light,' meaning our lives should reflect this new reality. Our words, actions, and even our very presence should dispel gloom and reveal the goodness of God. What small corner of your world needs the gentle illumination of Christ's light today?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for transforming me from darkness to light in Christ. Empower me by Your Spirit to walk as a child of light, reflecting Your goodness and truth in every area of my life.
