Joshua stood on the brink of leading a nation into uncharted territory, a task fraught with immense challenges. God's repeated command and promise to him resonate deeply with us today: 'Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.' The foundation for this fearlessness isn't Joshua's own ability or strength, but the unwavering presence of God: 'for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.' This reminds us that true courage isn't the absence of fear, but proceeding despite it, knowing that the Almighty God is our constant companion and protector. His presence transforms daunting tasks into opportunities for Him to display His faithfulness.

Prayer

Lord, when fear or discouragement tries to overwhelm me, remind me of Your constant presence. Grant me Your strength and courage to face this day.
