Life often feels like an endless journey burdened by expectations, anxieties, and the sheer weight of daily responsibilities. Jesus' invitation in cuts through the noise, offering not just a temporary reprieve, but profound rest for our souls. He doesn't ask us to clean ourselves up first or to earn our way to peace. Rather, He calls us in our weariness and with our burdens, promising a personal gift of rest that only He can provide. This 'rest' is more than physical sleep; it’s a deep spiritual calm born from His presence and sovereignty over all things that trouble us. To 'come' to Him is to entrust Him with our loads.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I come to You today with my weariness and burdens. Grant me Your promised rest, that my soul may find peace in Your presence.
